Saxophone & Piano Duo - Philippa Steele
Samantha Atkinson and Philippa Steel form a wonderful concert duo of classical saxophone and piano. They are Nottingham based, and perform a wide range of repertoire for Classical Saxophone and Piano. They have commissioned several new works for the duo. They are keen on learning repertoire by women, starting off with a Mothers Day concert on the 19th of March, at Kingswood Methodist Church, in Wollaton, Nottingham.
Wedding Music
Samantha is a wedding musician, who can tailer the program to the couples personalities and requests. She has arranged pieces especially for the ceremonies, and can provide an enjoyable background or forefront performance.
Concert soloist
Having performed solo in a variety of venues and events, from the Nottingham Council House's anual Goose Fair Awards, the Mayor of Nottinghams Carol service at St Marys and many other churches around the city. Samantha has a beautiful tone and energy, bringing emotion to her engaging performances.
Saxophone & Hang Drum
Working with other instruments is a passion of Samantha, in this particular Duo the pairing of soprano saxophone and hang drum, encorporate a folky and etherial charm. Samantha has composed 'Ocean of gold' for this Duo, which was premiered at the Lakeside Arts Djanogoly Theatre in Nottingham.
